Despite holding a meeting to try and pretend that they have some higher altruistic motive, on this issue all The Ignatieff Liberals are attempting to do is score some cheap political points on the backs of our troops.
After all, The Ignatieff Liberals have been saying some troubling things about the conduct of our men and women fighting overseas in Afghanistan. Not the kind of things you would be expecting to hear from supposedly ardent supporters of the Canadian Forces.
But I digress.

It boils down to this. I do believe all of our politicians
support or troops no matter what party they be long.
I also believe that Harper and the conservatives made a error
and refuse to say I made a mistake this was it and I corrected it.
Here is what was done. Produce the evidence and tell everybody lets move on.
it boils down to this. Detainee transfer agreement signed in 2005 by PMPM. Errors found and changes made by PMSH. Commiety only wants to look @ Conservative gov. It should lok all the way back to when Cretien sent us in and why.
Agree
I don’t believe what any politicians says Concervative, Liberal or NDP. I want prove, not words.
So far away from the talk when the mission started under Chretien and the Manley Report meetings. Whatever 30 odd Liberals who voted for the mission extension are either gone or silent now. The only discussions in parliament we’ve had about Afghanistan were under the Conservative government.
The last time the Liberals stood with our troops, MacKenzie King was in office. Since then our military has been downgraded to schoolyard monitor by Pearson, cut to the bone by Trudeau, and cut beneath the bone by Chretien. Liberals, like the NDP, believe that you can hold out your hand to your enemies and they will become all peace and light. They spurn any thought of a fall back position of military strength just in case that when you pull back the proffered hand it is a stump.
